About

Hélène Bléhaut

Hélène Bléhaut works as an illustrator and cartoonist for press, edition, communication, and whatever else she finds thrilling.
She studied in École Estienne-Paris and at the HEAR-Strasbourg (2014). Her work has been published in newspapers such as Libération, XXI, Geo Ado, and she regularly collaborates with institutions such as ENS de Lyon. Amongst other personal projects, she develops with the web designer Titouan Mathis a multimedia documentary project on haitian musicians,  , for which she went on a three months residency in Haïti in 2017 (with the Institut Français+Région Alsace+Eurométropole support). For ERC Comics she created in 2019 a webcomic, Rethinking Disability, with Pr. Monika Baár from Leiden University.
She loves to be behind the curtain observing groups of people processing around a common goal, and questioning who speaks and from where —what led her lately to work on decolonial and feminist issues.
